国連食糧農業機関（FAO）によると、世界の鶏卵生産量の64％以上をアジアが占めています。しかしながら、同大陸の鶏卵生産鶏の大半は、体を動かすのもやっとの小さなケージに閉じ込められ生涯を過ごしています。このようなケージは「バタリーケージ」と呼ばれ、鶏に多大な苦痛を与え、動物に対する最悪の行為の一つとされています。

These companies are reporting progress on their cage-free efforts in other regions, but Asia is still being left behind. It's time for them to step up and make good on their commitments across the board.

Enhanced transparency and Progress
There is a 27.6% increase in Tiers A and B compared to 2023.
Companies on the Lowest Tiers C and D decreased from 64% in 2024, compared to 67.6% in 2023.
8 out of 78 companies (10%) improved their rankings in 2023.
In all the five countries evaluated, over 80% of companies reported their progress.
27 (34.61%) companies reported progress in Asia or nationally in Asia, compared to 21 companies in 2023 and 8 in 2022.
